In bold palette, her work offers an intimate glimpse at her life experiences. Thurman says: "While I admire paintings that have a compelling edge, mine are strictly about the spirit of the moment, dazzling light and color, my fleeting moment theme. Whether painting at home or abroad, a complicated sidewalk cafe or a simple slice of melon, my quest remains the same: pushing past what I've done before for a fresh look at light, color and shapes."
